Pros:
• Small, lightweight and water-proof help buttons increase usability
• Help button batteries last for years. No recharging necessary
• Loud 2-way voice audio for clear communication
• Includes several testing and safety features standard with device
• Includes options for cellular connectivity if there is no landline
Cons:
• Range is limited to in-and-around the home
• Might require some installation help/support to get started
Mobile Devices
Pros:
• Devices are portable and work in and away from the home.
• Easy to set-up and operate
• Includes location tracking services to help dispatch help to the right location
Cons:
• User must remember to recharge the device similar to a cell phone
• Cellular connection may not always be reliable
• The device is larger and heavier than a traditional in-home pendant
Fall Detection Options
Most in-home and mobile devices today have options for fall detection, but it’s not for everyone!
Fall detection services vary from device to device are far from perfect. They cannot detect all falls and, in some cases, create “false fall” activations. If fall detection services are a desired feature, talk to us to find out which device would be the best match.
