What If My Client Does Not Have a Landline or Good Cell Service?

What If My Client Has No Landline and No Cell Service?

No signal. No landline. No problem — we've seen this before, and we know how to solve it.

For clients living in rural or remote areas, staying connected to emergency care shouldn't depend on what tower is closest. Whether your client is deep in the country, in a dead zone valley, or simply off the grid, we have solutions built specifically for them — and we've been doing this long enough to know that every situation has an answer.

The Big Picture: Coverage Varies. Our Solutions Don't.

Cellular coverage challenges are shaped by topography, infrastructure gaps, and population
density. What works in one county may fail in the next. That’s why we match every client to the
right device and the right network — AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, landline, broadband, or satellite.
The solution changes. The commitment doesn’t.

No Landline? Internet Works Too.

If your client has a broadband or internet connection but no traditional phone line, we offer the MagicJack — a small device that plugs into their internet router and creates a working landline connection. Simple, affordable, and effective.

Here’s how the connection works:
Starlink dish → Starlink router → ethernet adapter → MagicJack → landline PERS device

For the Most Remote Clients: Starlink + MagicJack

For those who call truly rural or remote areas home — where neither cell towers nor cable
reach — Starlink satellite internet opens a door that used to be closed.

That’s it. Satellite internet from space becomes a working phone line, and that phone line
connects your client to our 24/7 monitoring center. It works in the mountains. It works on
farms. It works where nothing else does.

Can Medicaid Help Cover the Cost of Starlink?

This is a question we're hearing more often — and the answer is: it depends on the state, but there are real pathways worth exploring.

Medicaid does not currently pay for Starlink service directly. However, clients enrolled in Medicaid, SSI, or SNAP may qualify for state-level broadband assistance programs funded through the federal BEAD program — a $42.5 billion initiative that became satellite-eligible in 2025. Some states are now actively subsidizing Starlink hardware and monthly service for low income rural households.
